Reverse audio for TikTok
Reverse a song or voice file in the browser, then import the WAV into TikTok. No TikTok login here. You remain responsible for copyright.

Up to 60 seconds
TikTok’s editor can trim, pitch, and stack sounds. It does not give you a reliable “play this MP3 backwards” control for an arbitrary file you already have. The reliable path is to reverse the audio before you open TikTok: do that in this browser tab, download a WAV, then import.
This website does not offer TikTok login, does not post for you, and does not read your draft. There is no “share to TikTok” button.
Reverse the file here, then import
- Obtain an audio file you are allowed to use: your vocal, a licensed loop, a bounce from your DAW, a Voice Memo. If the only copy is a TikTok you already posted, use TikTok’s save/download if the app allows it, or recover the original project. This page will not scrape a TikTok URL.
- Upload MP3, WAV, FLAC, OGG, M4A, or AAC, or record up to 60 seconds with the microphone for a new line.
- Processing stays on the device. Play the reversed result. Toggle Normal to A/B.
- Download WAV.
- On phone: Files / Downloads → TikTok upload → add sound, or place the WAV on the timeline in CapCut, then send the project to TikTok.
- On desktop: import the WAV in CapCut desktop or another editor, align to picture, export video, upload that video to TikTok.
If you need the picture reversed as well, reverse video in CapCut or TikTok’s effects. Then either reverse audio there too (both reversed keeps lip-sync in reverse) or replace with a separately reversed track from this page if you want backwards sound on forward picture. Those are different jokes. This tool only supplies the audio half. See video audio reverser.
Copyright
Reversing a Billboard track does not create a new composition you own. Content ID and TikTok’s music systems may still match the recording. A “funny backwards chorus” can still take the post down or mute the sound.
Use:
- Original vocals you recorded (the 60-second mic here, or a longer upload).
- Tracks you composed, or that a license explicitly allows you to edit and post.
- Sounds from TikTok’s commercial library according to TikTok’s current terms—this page does not grant those licenses and cannot pull library files by ID.
Do not upload a ripped YouTube audio and assume reverse equals fair use. YouTube audio reverser is for files you already saved and are allowed to process, not a permission slip.
Voice-overs of other people: get consent before a public FYP post. Reverse does not anonymize a voice well enough to hide identity.
Formats TikTok will actually ingest
This site always downloads WAV. TikTok’s in-app importer is picky by OS version.
- WAV from a DAW-style bounce usually works in CapCut.
- If the TikTok app’s “upload sound” rejects WAV, encode AAC/M4A or MP3 on the phone, then import.
- Keep the WAV as the master; compressed copies are for the app’s filter.
Sample rate: 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz both appear in phone recordings. This reverse keeps what the browser decoded. TikTok will resample again on export. You cannot “future-proof” a thin voice note by reversing it into WAV; see high-quality reverse.
Phone workflow details
iPhone: Safari or Chrome → this page → upload from Files. After download, the WAV may sit in Downloads inside Files. In TikTok, start a video, tap sound, upload from Files if that control exists on your version; otherwise edit in CapCut with the WAV on an audio lane, export, upload video. How to reverse audio on iPhone covers memo export. There is no official iOS app from this site required for the reverse step.
Android: Chrome → upload from Downloads. TikTok’s sound upload from device files varies by region. CapCut remains the stable bridge.
The on-page recorder is 60 seconds. Duets and long talking-head scripts should be recorded in Voice Memos or a DAW, then uploaded here for reverse.
Preview speed is not embedded. If the trend is “slow reverse,” change speed in CapCut after import.
Sound design that reads on For You
Reversed cymbals and vowels read as a swell; reversed speech is a puzzle. Short hooks (3–8 seconds) survive TikTok’s skip behavior better than a full reversed song. Crop before or after reverse.
Loudness: TikTok normalizes. A reversed file with a huge peak at the end (original attack) may jump. Leave a little headroom or normalize in an editor. This page does not auto-level.
If the trend is a rewind cartoon, reverse alone is not a tape stop. Layer in an editor; rewind sound effect describes the extra layers.
Related posting surfaces
Discord and WhatsApp use the same WAV; they are not TikTok. Reverse audio Discord. For singing practice clips you might later post, reverse singing website is the better guide than treating this as a karaoke app—this site has no lyric catalog.
This site is not affiliated with TikTok or ByteDance. Their community guidelines still apply to what you post after you leave this tab.
Frequently asked questions
Do I log into TikTok on this site?
No. Reverse the file here, save the WAV, then add it in TikTok’s editor as a sound or as video audio.
Can I reverse a TikTok sound URL?
No. This page does not fetch tiktok.com. Export or save a file you are allowed to use, then upload that file.
Will TikTok accept WAV?
Often you import WAV into CapCut or the TikTok app and it re-encodes. If the app rejects WAV, convert to M4A or MP3 after download.
Does reversing a hit song avoid copyright claims?
No. A reversed commercial recording is still that recording. Use sounds you have rights to, or TikTok’s licensed library according to their rules.
Can this tool reverse the video picture too?
No. Audio only. Reverse the soundtrack here and replace it in an editor, or reverse video in TikTok/CapCut separately.
Is speed change saved for the TikTok upload?
No. Speed on this page is preview. Print rate changes in CapCut or a DAW if the clip must stay slow.
